Who is Astromancer
Astromancer, the enigmatic musical entity, exists on the fringes of the rock music scene, a nebula of ever-evolving talent coalescing around the enigmatic central figure known simply as "Bart." With his mesmerizing guitar riffs and hauntingly evocative vocals, Bart serves as the gravitational force that binds the ever-changing constellation of musicians. Astromancer's ethereal sound defies categorization, fusing elements of progressive rock, spacey psychedelia, and complex poetry into a cosmic symphony. Their elusive performances feel like a journey through uncharted galaxies, where each member of the ever-rotating ensemble contributes their unique celestial energy. Though obscured in the vastness of the music industry, Astromancer's mystique continues to draw in stargazing music enthusiasts seeking the sublime and the extraordinary.
Astromancer's debut album Carbon Monoxide is the story of a guilt-ridden anti-hero, who finds himself driving his car through the tunnels of the capital one morning. Not sure wether he's alive - hallucinating because of carbonmonoxide toxic fumes - or dead. Maybe he's a ghost, driving his haunted car for all eternity. We follow him in his attempt to understand his ordeal, as his search for the truth leads him to peer back through the 'broken pieces of yesterday'. Reminiscing on a string of meaningless one night stands, he realises there was only One. As the album progresses, reality and dream become increasingly intertwined, culminating in a shockingly dramatic climax, revealing what might have really put him in this twilight zone.

“Serge Simonart (SS) from Humo magazine added us to his favourite releases of 2013. We are in the great company of amongst others Arno, Roy Harper, Nine Inch Nails and The Flaming Lips !!”
Music by Astromancer was featured in the fourth and fifth episode of “De Ridder”, the quality series on VRT. The Belgian national television broadcaster, together with production company Eyewinks and Poppunt, selected a number of bands for the soundtrack, and Astromancer made the cut. Twice!
Astromancer's new EP, Five Sweet Embraces, is now available on iTunes. You can also preview the tracks on this site.
